On the last weekend of April the Pinewood Judo Club fought in the Wilrijk Open near Antwerp, Belgium. Pinewood has attended the event for 23 years, winning the overall winner’s trophy on 21 occasions. Please click here for the News Report.

Goole, East Yorkshire was the venue for the Pinewood Judo Club last weekend. The event was divided into two groups, under 12 and under 16 years. They had a good result winning 8 gold, 7 silver and 6 bronze medals; this score also gave them the overall winner’s trophy. Please click here for the News Report.
Last Saturday the Pinewood judo Club was fighting at the J.P.T. International Championship at Almelo in Holland. The lower grade juniors were fighting at High Wycombe in the red belt rumble on Easter Sunday. Please click here for the News Report.

The Pinewood Judo Club’s seniors were in action last weekend at the English Open, held at the Kendal judo club. The event is point scoring towards selection for the British senior squad. Please click here for the News Report.
Pinewood Judo Club maintained their winning steak last weekend. They were fighting in the North West age band event which was a tournament for placing within the National junior squads and also at the Southern Area. Please click here for the News Report.
Last weekend the Northern Home Counties Judo Area organised a trip to Schiedam, near Rotterdam Holland. John Cottis who organised the trip invited some of the Pinewood National medallists to travel with the squad. Please click here for the News Report.
Sorry for the delay in getting the News Reports on the Web Site, but I've only just returned from a Holiday in South Africa so normal service will now be resumed. The Midland Area under 20 age Banded tournament was held at the Walsall Campus over two days, last weekend. The Pinewood squad did quite well to win 5 gold, 2 silver and 8 bronze medals. Pinewood had a fairly quiet weekend this past week due to Squad Training. However Don Werner was over in Kiev watching Ben Fletcher and Sarah Pang at the EJU Cadet Tournament, while a few other Judoka were competing at the Welsh Open and the Eastern Bloc in Thetford. Click here for the News Report.
Happy New Year to Everyone. Last weekend the Pinewood Judo Club fought in their first competition of 2008 at the Worthing Leisure Centre. The event was for junior boys and girls under 16 years of red, yellow and orange belts. Please click here for the News Report.
Over the Christmas break the Pinewood Judo Club had some incredible news. They had been awarded the Club Mark Gold Award, the only time a club has won bronze, silver and gold in such a short time.
