The Pinewood Judo Club’s members were spread around again last weekend. The seniors had a good day in Sarajevo in the senior European Cup Championship, Megan Fletcher won bronze at under 70 kgs and her brother Ben Fletcher also won a bronze medal at under 90 kgs.
At Mooselle in Belgium Holly Eccles took gold at under 32 kgs but the weight was poorly supported so she also fought at under 36 kgs and again took the gold medal.
Pinewood coach Don Werner was in Belgium with a squad of six under 12 year old members. The event was run by the Judo Club Olympia in Zonhoven.
Gold medals were won by Cameron Charles, Declan Whyte and Wade Muttitt. Two silver medals were won by Alfie Thomas and Tom Lichter and then Emily Brown took a bronze medal to round off a quite successful series of tournaments for the Club.
