Pinewood Judo Club had a small squad of four fighting in Goole last Sunday. Fighting at under 81 kgs in the youth section for under 21 years old Judoka, Matthew Sallis won the silver medal after several quite strong fights.
The other three were all under 12 years, Noah Jones won gold at under 27 kgs, Wade Muttitt won silver medal at under 30 kgs and Oliver Young took the bronze medal in the under 34 kgs weight group.
Coach Don Werner wanted them to get experience against the Northern children so he could decide who should enter the Nationals later this year.
