61st Judo Club Under 12

The Pinewood Judo Club’s lower graded under 12 year old boys and girls were fighting at High Wycombe Judo Centre last Sunday. The event was run by the 61 Judo Club. No national medallists were accepted so the Pinewood squad was only 11 strong but they managed a good result of 4 gold, 3 silver and 1 bronze trophies.

The girls fought first and Amy Adams won gold at under 32 kgs and Chrisse Webb also won gold at under 52 kgs.

The boys got off to a good start when at under 27 kgs Wade Muttitt won gold and Oliver Greatrex took the silver trophy. In the next weight up, under 30 kgs Daniel King won gold and Declan Whyte the silver to give Pinewood their second double final.

Ryan Wilcock won the silver at under 42 kgs and Cameron Charles rounded off the score with the bronze trophy at under 50 kgs. These two boys did very well in the heavy weights because Ryan is 10 and Cameron only 9 years old. Both boys certainly look good prospects for the future.
