Last weekend the 30th of October they fought in the Gloucester Junior Open in the Newent Leisure Centre. The under 12 year old group had quite a good result sheet with 5 gold, 2 silver 1 bronze medals. James Widman won with some ease the under 27 kgs gold medal. At under 30 kgs Daniel King won silver and Declan Whyte a bronze then Harrison John won the under 46 kgs weight group with some excellent technique.
For the girls Emily Brown took gold at under 25 kgs, Under 32 kgs Holly Eccles also took gold, Kiera Bateman won silver under 36 kgs and Eva Thomas won gold at under 40 kgs.
In the under 16 years group Christian Tepper won gold at under 34 kgs, Sam Blair took the bronze at under 38 kgs then at under 42 kgs it was an all Pinewood final when Tommy Ryan won gold and George Lawes the silver medals.
In the girls section at under 40 kgs Jade Eccles won silver and Olivia Spellman the bronze medal. At under 44 kgs Emma Pang won gold and Leah Blair the bronze, then Nicole Brown had a superb day, winning gold at under 63 kgs and the gold in the over 63 kgs open weight group.
